RALEIGH, N.C. (Nov. 12, 2007) – Ever wonder what a mummer is? Spectators at this Saturday’s Raleigh Christmas Parade are about to find out. The Durning String Band is bringing the ancient mummer tradition to the streets of Raleigh for the 63rd annual Raleigh Christmas Parade set for this Saturday, Nov. 17, beginning at 9:30am. |

GEORGE YORK has been named Executive Vice President of York Properties. Hal Worth has been named President and Chief Investment Officer for the company. Company Chairman Smedes York made the announcement of the changes, which are effective as of December 2006. Smedes York had been Chairman and President and Worth was formerly Executive Vice President. Smedes York will retain the title of chairman. |

President is Kevin Coggins, owner of The Spin Cycle bicycle store in Cary; vice president is Steve McLaurin, vice president of McLaurin Parking; and treasurer is Stephen Votino, partner in the real estate firm McNamara Properties.

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Greater Raleigh Merchants Association (GRMA) announced the sponsors of the 62nd Annual Raleigh Christmas parade to be held on Nov. 18. WRAL-TV is the Title Sponsor and Official Media Partner for the second year in a row and will provide live televised coverage of the parade. Other key sponsors are KB Home (Gold), WakeMed (Silver) and YMCA (Bronze). The parade is presented each year by the Greater Raleigh Merchants Association. |

RALEIGH, N.C. – Sir Walter Records and the Greater Raleigh Merchants Association (GRMA) launched the first annual “Have a Holly Raleigh Christmas” CD. The CD, which will be available for purchase beginning Oct. 18, features local bands performing original holiday music written specifically for this project. |
